We started this surf retreat in Mirleft out of love for the ocean, Moroccan culture, and genuine human connection. As surfers ourselves, we’ve seen how crowded and impersonal big surf camps can feel. That’s why we created something different, a small-group surf experience in Morocco, where quality surf coaching meets warm hospitality and healthy Moroccan food.

Looking to take your surfing to the next level? Meet Ismaail, our certified surf instructor and the driving force behind our coaching program.
With over four years of experience teaching surfers of all levels, he has worked across Morocco’s best surf destinations, from his hometown of Mirleft to the world-class waves of Imesouane and the lively surf scene of Tamraght.
As a certified BF1 (Brevet Fédéral 1er degré) instructor, Ismaail combines technical knowledge with a background in hospitality, creating lessons that are professional, patient, and welcoming. His calm and kind approach makes beginners feel safe in the water, while more advanced surfers are challenged to push their skills further.
What sets him apart is his competitive background as one of Morocco’s top 32 bodyboarders. With expertise in wave reading, timing, and ocean dynamics, he brings a unique perspective to every surf session.
Above all, Ismaail’s passion for surfing and Moroccan hospitality ensures that your time in the water feels inspiring, fun, and truly rewarding.

our mom chef
When you join us in Mirleft, you’re not just coming for a surf retreat, you’re stepping into a Moroccan home. And at the heart of that home is Aicha, our chef, and the proud mother of your surf coach, Ismaail.
Aicha is a professional chef with a lifelong passion for cooking. Her kitchen is filled with the rich aromas of traditional Moroccan spices, freshly baked bread, and nourishing meals made with love. Every dish she prepares is more than food, it’s a reflection of Moroccan hospitality, where cooking is an art of caring.
Beyond the kitchen, Aicha tends to her animals and bakes homemade bread daily, carrying on traditions passed down through generations.
For many of our guests, Aicha becomes more than just “the chef.” She feels like family. Her warmth, kindness, and nourishing meals are a big part of why our surf weekends feel so authentic and connected.
Because here, it’s not only about surfing. It’s about feeling at home in Morocco, surrounded by good waves, good food, and good people
